Night at the Tank Museum 1
We went down the Tank Museum in Bovington for an outdoor photo shoot as the sun was setting. This was great, though cut a little short as there was a lightning storm coming in - standing by large tank-shaped lightning rods was not considered a sensible thing to do...
Night at the Tank Museum 2
The second Tank Museum event was later in the year and was indoors, avoiding the potential issues related to lightning strikes!
Tankfest 2022
This was my first time going to Tankfest at the Tank Museum. It's a great event with lots to see. They had various displays going on in the main arena, showing off tanks through time, which was great.
Eden Camp
I used to go on holiday to Yorkshire a lot when I was younger, and visited Eden Camp which is a military museum built in a WWII prisoner of war camp. It's gotten bigger and better over the years, and I was especially excited by the vehicle restoration work going on - I recognised their big blue Sherman when I saw it at Tankfest, after seeing them working on it the previous year.
Tiger Day Autumn 2022
Robert and I went all-out on getting posh tickets to Tiger Day to get the chance to get up close and personal with Tiger 131 before seeing her running in the arena. Brilliant day.
Hurricane, the Unsung Hero
Having never been to Duxford, it was a treat to go up there and take photos of aircraft instead of tanks for a change!
Tankfest 2023
I'm looking forward to going to Tankfest again this year - it's the 100th anniversary of the Tank Museum, so it should be pretty special.
